My Various Audio Projects

I have been producing content for public events (i.e. DJ’ing) and creating radio content for many years. Mostly I act as Executive Producer for all the locally produced shows on Radio Sausalito. Here are some select other projects that I have done:

I produced and engineered a series of musical snippets which aired during NPR’s All Things Considered for almost a decade. Each piece was composed by a composition student at the Cleveland Institute of Music and performed by cello students of Richard Aaron. Here is one of my favorites by Wataru Hokoyama:

      1. 'Congracellations' - produced by Jonathan Westerling

Here is some of the on air praise while producing at ABC radio in San Francisco. Click to play.

      2. Jim Gabbert - KGO date: 2010
      3. Bill Wattenburg - KGO date: 2010
      4. Gene Burns - KGO date: 2010
      5. Karel - KGO date: 2010

One of the many things I did behind the scenes at KGO was to edit familiar songs down to thirty second instrumental rejoiners or bumpers which were used at the end of a commercial set. These were simply uploaded onto the KGO server and many different hosts (Len Tillem, Gene Burns, Bill Wattenburg etc) used these bumpers. I have always enjoyed editing music (heck, I DO have a degree in this stuff) and look forward to doing more in the future. Here’s one of my favorites:

      6. 'Psychotic Bumper - edited by Jonathan Westerling

I produced and hosted the following half-hour live concert broadcast to celebrate the holidays in 2010:
